Widgets are no longer Technologically Correct. I had two translation and two TV schedule tracking widgets die on me in the past year. I have other active widgets that still work but are unsupported. My iStat Menus widget still works fine, but they no longer offer it for download, not sure why.

There's a relatively simple way to turn a portion of a webpage into a live widget with a couple keystrokes. I've done it a couple times for kicks. I can't remember what it was, but it was easy, and easily searchable on the web. So if you can find a website that offers you the map you want, you can widget-ize the map.

There is a Dashboard widget called "Radar in Motion" that displays up-to-the-minute satellite weather images for anywhere in the world. But it's hopelessly broken. Something about the weather data not being available anymore...
Does anyone know of another satellite weather widget? I've looked on https://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/?r=dbw but haven't seen any replacement. Are there other places to obtain widgets? My sense is that they're fading away...
