Weird trackpad behavior ?

I read somewhere that a weird trackpad behavior is a symptom of a battery in bad need of replacement...

I have the original battery on my early 2011 MBP, one of those that won't get Mojave :( and here are its stats:

Model Information:
Serial Number: xxxxxxxxxxxx
Manufacturer: DP
Device Name: bq20z451
Pack Lot Code: 0
PCB Lot Code: 0
Firmware Version: 201
Hardware Revision: 2
Cell Revision: 164
Charge Information:
Charge Remaining (mAh): 3140
Fully Charged: Yes
Charging: No
Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 3140
Health Information:
Cycle Count: 1312
Condition: Replace Soon
Battery Installed: Yes
Amperage (mA): 0
Voltage (mV): 12017

Should I change it ? And if yes, do you have a suggestion for a good maker ? Or can I ask Apple to change it for a price ?

Yes, if you are starting to have trouble clicking on a trackpad it is often
the battery starting to swell. The bad behavior often starts before the
swelling is visible. And the "Replace soon" message tends to support that
conclusion.

Apple will sometimes fix swollen batteries well out of warranty, even if no "extended replacement program" is apparent anywhere on the web.

My 2015 MBP Retina was experiencing kernel_task "heat idling" behavior at 85° ambient (s.b more around 95°), so I thought maybe the fans and ducts needed cleaning. When I took off the bottom cover, it was a jack-in-the-box experience. Since a 2015 is way out of warranty, I brought it in to Apple expecting to pay a $200 battery repair, and was told that since the batteries had been proving problematical, there would be no charge for the repair. Now, the batteries are glued into the bottom case (precisely why I chose not to do the repair myself), so Apple has to "replace the bottom case," which means taking all your computer's guts out and relocating them into a new case/keyboard/trackpad unit. That's labor intensive. It takes them 5-7 business days and a trip to the depot.

Maybe you're lucky and 2011s are covered also — take a shot at it.

That's a lot.
Well, I've been using it pretty much every day for the last 6 years and very often on battery. So that's one cycle for 1.5 days, for a battery that lasts me about 3.5 hours a day now.

I'm hoping that a new 6000 mAh battery would last me about 6h a day, which would be perfect, but I've heard bad stories about battery replacement so I'd like the list advice on that.
